1000 Aussies
My daughter attends the Australian International School here in Singapore.
The school is multinational and multicultural. It provides a unique learning perspective – something that is better understood later in life. From the latest school newsletter:
This week our enrolment of Australians passed the 1000 mark for the first time. This represents 65.2% of our student population (70.3% Preschool, 73.2% Primary, 53.2% Secondary). We also have 130 New Zealanders enrolled (8.5%). Other major nationality groups are Britain (65, 4.2%), Korea (46, 3.0%), Singapore (37, 2.3%), Malaysia (36, 2.3%). Overall there are 40 nationalities in our school from across the world.
The Singapore government only recently allowed Singaporeans to enroll in international schools.
