Comment spam

I thought I had it killed, but recently it has reared its ugly, ugly head. Every day I’m getting about 100 pieces of comment spam, usually a short script-generated message saying how much they enjoyed a post, and then it has several links to viagra or other male-enhancing substances.

This is why I don’t display comments immediately – I have to go through and weed out the rubbish first.

The Wordpress anti-spam plugin “Bad Behavior” was working well before. I’ll have to upgrade it and see if that works.

Update (30 Dec 2005): I installed the latest Bad Behaviour plugin (v 1.2.4) and have not had any spam in a week. Woo hoo! :-)
