Friday Math Movie – Math Test Anxiety

This week’s movie, Math Test Anxiety is a weird Japanese anime.

The video cleverly captures the nightmare that many students experience in the days before a mathematics test. Note how the stress manifests itself in the student’s rejection of his mother’s kindness.

Some of this movie is disturbing. It’s not pretty or fun.

You have been warned.

Very strange. You did warn me/us though.

  2. Peter says:

Yeh, Zac – that’s one weird movie.

I like the funny movies better, but this one expressed the test angst well, as you said.

  3. Chi says:

This is from the anime series Paranoia Agent by Satoshi Kon. If you see the rest of his work, this isn’t as disturbing as it could be.

  4. Murray says:

    Thanks for the background, Chi.

  5. Ralph Spencer says:

Math ain’t that bad, rather it ain’t bad at all. It applies in daily life. Practice well and you score full. The movie’s just some kinda – CRAP.
