Friday Math Movie – the Web’s secret stories

Johnathan Harris gives us an interesting set of visualizations of the emotions people exhibit on the Web, via their stories. From the blurb on TED:

Artist and computer scientist Jonathan Harris makes online art that captures the world’s expression — and gives us a glimpse of the soul of the Internet.

Here is one of Harris’ projects: Universe. The applets take a while to load, but it’s worth the wait. Each star in the “universe” represents an event.
