Interactive Mathematics
Interactive Mathematics was my first website. Presenting mathematics on the Web is not a straightforward task. Interactive Mathematics uses
- “LiveMath” (a free Active-X control allows manipulations and animations of graphs, equations, matrices, etc from within the Web page).
- Flash animations and interactive exploratory exercises
- Scientific Notebook documents (we used this software extensively for development of “Maths OnLine”, a Web-based tutorial system. I also pushed for the use of this software in class so that students would be relieved of the algebraic drudgery normally associated with learning maths – and could spend time thinking through what it all meant and solve problems with it. This had moderate early success but has since died.)
- Thousands and thousands of images of equations. The site was developed in the days when Frontpage would produce fairly clean, simple HTML from a Word document. I would not recommend this approach to anyone…

I am a public school geometry teacher. Is there a free software for geometry where i can use for my students? Our school cannot afford to have these math softwares and the like.

Hello Filomena. I have written several articles about free math software and other resources. [See this summary.]
The best suggestion for geometry is GeoGebra. See my review of GeoGebra.
