It’s launched, finally…

I finally got Interactive Mathematics ready (enough) to launch today. By ‘launch’, I mean all traffic landing at the old sites is now routed to the new one.

Some of the outstanding things to do are:

  • Reinstate all the LiveMath interactive documents (they will all be sitting on their own separate pages – this seemed to be the best way to go with these, since if visitors don’t have the ActiveX or plugin, it is just taking up bandwidth for them).
  • Reduce file sizes. This is especially a problem for the HTML files that were created by Scientific Notebook – they are very bloated and don’t look so good in all browsers.
  • Rewrite things so that they are less “transmissionist’ and more ‘learner-centred’ and interactive.

What do you think of the new site?
