Katrina’s message to Bush: sign Kyoto

The worst hurricane in US history has left a mess in southern US states.

Very few scientists are now denying that global warming is happening – the jury is still out on exactly what is causing it. But surely we should be doing all we can to prevent it – and the world’s greatest polluter should be doing a lot more (like ratifying the Kyoto protocol and doing something serious about carbon dioxide emissions.)

Oh, and the worst southern hemisphere polluter (Australia) should be ashamed of itself, jumping into bed with the US on yet another issue. C’mon gentlemen – sign it and do all of us a favour. See it as a business opportunity and give us clean air to breathe.
