Langkawi

Langkawi

Langkawi is a lovely island off the coast of northern Malaysia. We used AirAsia for the first time – and were impressed. (Except for the Boney M muzak playing while taxying – surely they could have done a deal to use Coors music, since the CEO of AirAsia used to be the manager of the Coors..?) The plane was only about 1/3 full on the return journey – you could sit wherever you liked.

There were some nice beaches in Langkawi – some even had stilt houses built over them – now there’s an interesting retirement option! :-)

Some colleagues expressed concern about going to the northern Malaysia/southern Thailand area since the level of violence was building up. But Langkawi was very relaxed – no problems.
