Hmmm… Interesting how countries like Indonesia, Phillipines, Japan and China have all suffered catastrophic floods and landslides recently.
And the light finally dawns that illegal (and face it, legal) logging is at the root of the problem. So the denial of the Not-In-My-Back-Yard people has come back to haunt them.
Currently, wars are fought over oil – but in future, the issues will be water, air quality, soil quality and other very basic things.
Ahhh – the folly of man.
