[The lengths of the words are the digits. George Polya was very influential in mathematics education, especially in problem solving.]

From the BBC:
In September 2002, Pi was computed to 1,240,000,000,000 decimal places by Professor Yasumasa Kanada at the University of Tokyo. It took over 400 hours on a Hitachi Supercomputer.
New Pi Page
Getting into the spirit of the day, I added a new page to the Interactive Mathematics site today: Pi.
