Squidoo – it’s Wikipedia on steroids
Squidoo is an interesting knowledge management concept. It is similar to Wikipedia in that anyone can contribute, but it is different in that there can be several pages (called “lenses” in Squidoo-speak) on each topic.
Squidoo is an interesting place to explore. You will come across the current most popular topics (“sushi”, “cartoons”, “online poker” and “London travel” when I visited just now) and you see various “tag clouds” which show the relative popularity of topics, indicated by size of font.
You can write a “lens” and get paid for it from the Google advertising that appears on each page.
