Wild gyrations of the markets
You would have noticed that the stock and currency markets have been on a wild ride over the last few weeks.
You may be interested in the DJIA Model which tracks the exponential growth of the Dow Jones index from 1945 to 2000. The index has been a lot less predictable since 2000.

Notice also on that page that Japan’s Nikkei Index is around the level it was in 1985. Markets do not always go up, despite what the fund manager salespeople try to tell us.
